Bondleigh Barn Band

Formed in a local farmer’s barn in 2012, Bondleigh Barn Band has grown to a friendly amateur orchestra of 40+ regular players, led by musical director Richard Edwards.

Our repertoire is varied in style and period (over four hundred years), including traditional, contemporary and classical pieces. Our musical director arranges parts for all players for every piece.  

What we do

Our main aim is to have fun just playing together. However, we are often asked to play for local events, and to date we have raised over £23,000 for charitable causes.

The Band meet fortnightly on Sundays from 19:30-21:30 in Winkleigh Sports Centre, Devon, EX19 8HZ. Our current fee is £25 per annum to cover costs of hiring our rehearsal venue.

New members welcome

We welcome new members of all abilities who wish to learn, improve and play together. We do not audition.  Prospective members are invited to come along and see if what we do suits them and to join in if they wish.
